PROJECTS
Pixel Busters Promotional Documentary (2023)
For my final project at University, I worked alongside two owners of an arcade in Stoke on Trent to create a promotional film for them. This film was to act as an advertisement to show potential customers their products, but also to show the personal and community-side of the venue. After initial meetings with Felicity and John, I returned on three separate occasions to film an interview, gather B Roll and then customer testimonials. After filming, I edited the documentary, cutting 20 minutes worth of interview footage down to 8-9. I colour graded each individual shot within Premiere Pro, and added relevant foley and sound effects. I am currently working on creating a short-form version for them to use on their social media. This project taught me many colour grading techniques, gave me more knowledge of on-set roles such as producing and lighting, and how to edit for clients in a professional manner.

These Things Happen (2023)
For my first semester in Level 6 Film Production, I directed, produced and edited a short film with overlying themes of mental health, loss and grief. The film explored a young man named Daniel, who recently lost his fiancé to a tragic accident, as he experienced the stages of the grief cycle. Through my compositing, I showed Daniel's thoughts and feelings through dream sequences. These were created by layering various AI generated images and editing them in Photoshop, and furthermore editing them in After Effects. I colour graded, created the graphics and edited the timeline of the film in Premiere Pro. This project taught me many new techniques in the Adobe suite, alongside set etiquette and videography. I also worked with other students and industry professionals which was a great learning experience for me.

Poker Face (2022)
In my second year at University, I co-directed a light-hearted film about a group of friends who play poker together regularly. In the film, you hear each players' thought process through internal monologue as they try to win the game. I worked on the cinematography and the editing within this film, which is stylised in an dramatic and comedic way with over-the-top transitions and a dark exposure. These effects were mostly made within Premiere Pro.
